ESF has entered into an agreement with Microsoft allowing the distribution of certain products to all Campus/State owned PCs. Please do not submit purchase requests for Office or Windows products as you no longer need to pay for them. Instead, send an email to HelpDesk@esf.edu to obtain a copy of a qualifying Microsoft product for your Campus PC.

Microsoft product purchasing procedure (only for products listed under 'Other' below):

  1. Obtain a Requisition Number from this site and add it to any State purchase requests you use from this site. The Requisition Number must be clearly visible on the purchase request.

  2. Use the pricing information below to complete a purchase request and submit it to Purchasing in Bray Hall.
You do not need to purchase a disk (install media) as CNS can supply this for products listed under 'Other' below. The "vendor" is Dell.

  3. When you receive your copy of the purchase order (via email), please contact CNS in room 317 Baker (X6861) to arrange installation if you require assistance.

There are currently several free office suites available for download. These suites are Microsoft Office compatible and have, in most cases, similar functionality to Microsoft's suite. Two of these are: OpenOffice and LibreOffice. Save money and try these free alternatives today. CNS provides this information as a service to the Campus community, but is unable to support or distribute these free products at this time.
